- What is an NFT?
(Source: wikipedia) A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger (blockchain). NFTs can be used to represent easily-reproducible items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files as unique items (analogous to a certificate of authenticity), and use blockchain technology to establish a verified and public proof of ownership. Copies of the original file are not restricted to the owner of the NFT, and can be copied and shared like any file. The lack of interchangeability (fungibility) distinguishes NFTs from blockchain cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin.
- What is the difference between the digital and the physical collection?
The main difference is that, while the digital collection is a strictly digital asset, the physical collection will enable the owners to redeem the physical art work. The exact instructions and conditions will be published before the physical collection is launched.
- How many NTFs will be minted for each artwork?
Maximum 2, one for the digital and one for the physical collection
- What does section A/B/C mean?
The aquarelles are categorized according to the sole criterion of the family. Section A contains the exceptional works (as per the subjective family criteria), Section B contains the normal works and Section C those with little detail or unfinished. The initial sell price band is linked to these sections but you will need to find beauty according to your own criteria.
- What does “series” mean?
Several aquarelles repeat the same theme with noticeable differences but with a clear similarity. Works which are part of a series are identified.
- Why not all the aquarelles are signed?
LBP was normally not signing aquarelles that were not to be exhibited and he managed his legacy until his pass, so he was solely deciding which and when to sign them.
- Is the initial price linked to some measure of rarity?
Despite some it could be interpreted that aquarelles part of a series are less rare, we have considered purely aesthetic criteria to set the initial price.
- When is the physical collection launching?
The first drops are estimated to happen at the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022
- Why two collections?
The two collections target two different types of collectors. The main highlight of the physical collection will be the ownership of the physical asset. Not all collectors in the digital space are interested on physical items and vice versa. For example, trading the physical asset may involve transportation/shipping costs and disclosing details about the owners’s address. Similarly there will be a difference in the initial tag price, as the physical collection items will take into account the actual size of the artwork (larger will be more expensive)
Of course, that does not mean that there may be people interested on both assets
- Are other art works different from watercolor going to be minted?
Engravings could be offered in the future.
- How were the pictures captured?
The pictures were captured using professional equipment on a photo studio in Madrid.
